We all have our favourite brand of hummus, but did you know you can easily make it yourself?
This recipe is delicious, and will become a staple in your repertoire for any occasion.
1x400g tin of chickpeas, drained
2 tbsp tahini
¼ cup olive oil
Juice and grated zest of 1 lemon
• Add all the ingredients to a food processor and purée until smooth.
• Serve with a slice of toasted wholemeal/whole grain bread or vegetable sticks such as carrot, cucumber or celery.
Notes: This is a basic hummus recipe. You can jazz it up further by adding some ground cumin or paprika, or try throwing in some freshly chopped herbs.
