My emotional experience of fertility issues

Hi there. I’m Melanie McGrice, a Dietitian/Nutritionist with a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and Director of Nutrition Plus Women’s Health clinics. I became a health professional to help people and make a difference. For years, I specialised in weight management, and I loved my work….but I came to understand that as much as what we eat and exercise makes a huge difference to someone’s weight, our genetics and hormones play an even bigger role. That’s when I discovered that what a woman eats in the months leading up to conception, during pregnancy and what we feed our little ones in the first few years of life program our baby’s genetics for most of the health issues that they are going to experience. The nutrition that our children get during this time will impact the rest of their life!

This revelation went hand in hand with my own life struggles. You see, I’m a woman now in my 40s who hasn’t had my own baby. Instead I’m a foster-mum and am currently going through the adoption process, so I get the emotional rollercoaster.

So, that’s why I created this program, my 8 step fertility booster – I want to help women who want to become mums to be as healthy as possible to help them not only fulfil their dream of becoming a mum, but to help them give their baby a healthy head start in life.

When does the course start and finish?

The course starts on Monday 23rd October and finishes on Friday 15th December – however, you’ll have access to all of the materials from day one, so you’re welcome to complete the course at your own pace. And, although our Live Q&A sessions will wrap up at the end of September, you’ll continue to have access to the materials after this date.
