Protein is obviously a very important nutrient for us to eat. When we eat protein, such as meat or eggs, our bodies break it down into amino acids, which our bodies use for a range of different things including muscle building.

To boost your protein intake, have you ever taken a protein powder? Do you refuel after a gym workout with a protein shake? Do you find they work?

In today’s video I wanted to look at some of the pro’s and con’s of taking protein powders and determine whether they are worth the cost or if they are just adding extra kilojoules to your diet.

If you have ANY questions regarding today’s video please feel free to comment below. Then, make sure you like the Melanie McGrice Facebook page and be sure to join me for my Facebook Live sessions on Tuesday nights at 8:30pm (AEST) where I will be answering your questions.
